This is Me
I’m a Chicago-based actor, writer, director and producer. I’ve stepped on the boards of some of Chicago’s historic theaters: The Lookingglass Theatre (Big Lake Big City, Beyond Caring), The Steppenwolf 1700 Theatre (Tumbao: A Radionovela), The Second City, and iO Chicago to name a few.
Sometimes I get to be on your TV playing a super serious crime scene technician in NBC’s Chicago PD, or a playwright in Netflix’s Easy, or as a car auction teller in the movie Widows starring Queen Viola Davis, and even on the small device screen making funnies with Fred Armisen.
I get to create work with my silly ass best friend in Dominizuelan and it leads to things like articles about us in the Chicago Tribune or on a list in Latina Magazine or a spot NPR.
My artistic joy is born and bred in comedy and it’s weaved into everything I create. I don’t know who said it, but I’ve repeated it for years, “A laugh is the shortest distance between two people.” I tend to lead with laughter y “traigo un poquito de todo”, a little bit of everything to table, in order to give the project the best chance it has to be great. Wepa, let’s work!
Good Mothers

Mami is dead but not forgotten. Adult daughters, Amada and Altagracia task themselves (and their own daughters) in honoring Mami's birthday by building her a pimped out altar any Santera would be proud of. In doing so, they unwittingly open a door to the spirit world that provides these sisters a 24 hour window to reconnect with Mami and all of her "constructive criticism" showing them that even in death...some things never change.
Mami esta muerta pero no olvidada. Amada y Altagracia, sus hijas adultas, se dedican a honrar el cumpleaños de Mami al construirle un altar en que cualquier santera estaría orgullosa. Al hacerlo, sin saber abren una puerta al mundo de los espíritus que les da a las hermanas una ventana de 24 horas, para volver a conectar con Mami y toda su “crítica constructiva” enseñándolas que incluso a la muerte… algunas cosas nunca cambian.
